Dr Paul Fox recently participated in the Headquarters NATO National Rapid Deployable Corps Greece CMI-CIMIC seminar in Thessaloniki. The event enabled a detailed analysis of the recently approved NATO Military Concept for the Protection of Civilians, which includes Cultural Property Protection, in order better to understand developments and challenges in this field.
Dr Fox gave a presentation on Blue Shield initiatives to develop combined civil-military training in proactive cultural property protection, emphasising the need to work collaboratively in order to safeguard civilians and the cultural heritage fundamental to their identities.
