Blue Shield Georgia are carrying out regular First Aid In Times of Crisis training in Georgia. Training includes classroom lectures, discussions, and a simulation involving the emergency evacuation of cultural heritage objects. Each course trains attendees to train others in their home institutions, creating a growing network of responders trained in crisis management in heritage institutions. The goal of the project is to prepare a team of professionals and with their help, train young volunteers in issues of cultural heritage protection in times of crisis.

Dozens of people have now been trained by Blue Shield Georgia in the methodology. In the most recent training, held in Tblisi in April, 11 trainers from the field of cultural heritage and the Georgian National Guard participated in the four-day training, encouraging partnerships with those responding to an institution in crisis.
