BS Europe Meeting

BS Europe Meeting

SECOND CIRCULAR, on behalf of BS Austria and BS Belgium

on the Second European Blue Shield Meeting in BRUSSELS and Session at the EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT on the occasion of 20th anniversary of the
1999 Second Protocol to the 1954 Hague Convention. At the closing session of last year’s initial Blue Shield meeting in Brussels the representatives of the national committees have voted for a subsequent meeting in 2019. This will be held on:

Sunday, 3 November 2018, noon, to Tuesday, 5 November 2019, noon.

We are convinced that the European Blue Shield meeting shall continue to serve also as an opportunity for us as cultural heritage experts to meet with Members of European Parliament in Brussels.

  • Our last year’s host, Mrs. Sabine Verheyen, MEP (G), has been elected chairwomen of the Parliamentary Committee on Culture and Education. We have asked her to host us again.
  • The president of Blue Shield International, KARL VON HABSBURG, will again join us for the upcoming meeting at Brussels.
