On the 25th of November, Blue Shield Denmark held the annual Heritage Friday event at Moesgaard Museum, Aarhus. This year, the event focused on cultural heritage protection in Ukraine, the use of cultural heritage in modern warfare and how the international community could actively and practically help with the protection and preservation of Ukrainian heritage. The event was public but the audience mostly consisted of colleagues and students from the heritage sector.
Attendees had the pleasure of hearing speeches from Mykhailo Vydoinyk, Ambassador of Ukraine to Denmark, Fedir Androschuk, Director of The National Museum of History Ukraine, Mattias Legnér, Uppsala University, Frederik Rosén, Managing director of Nordic Center for Cultural Heritage and Armed Conflict, University of Copenhagen and Nataliia Popovych, Co-Founder and chairperson at the Ukraine House in Denmark.
The event went well and new networks and collaborations were established.
