Blue Shield Georgia at the Sergi Makalatia Historical-Ethnographic Museum in Gori @ Manana Tevzadze

On the 22nd of June, Blue Shield Georgia met with staff from the Sergi Makalatia Historical-Ethnographic Museum in Gori to discuss; ‘Planning for the Safeguarding of Cultural Heritage of Gori’. Blue Shield attended the event in order to evaluate the storage materials of the museum’s particularly vulnerable exhibits in order to improve their conditions. One of the main goals of the project is to create a Disaster Risk Preparedness plan for the museum. Blue Shield Georgia are supporting a study which will inform a risk analysis document, intended to form the basis of the plan.

The project, ‘Planning for the Safeguarding of Cultural Heritage of Gori, Georgia’ is being implemented from 2020 with the financial support of the International Alliance for the Protection of Cultural Heritage in the conflict regions (ALIPH).
