Blue Shield France have been on show around France this summer and autumn, raising awareness about the threats to heritage venues from disasters and the the work of the Blue Shield. They have had stands at
- The national firefighters’ congress in Mâcon, where they introduced the new museum from social media coordinator, Valérie, as well as the new board game (for adults and children) from the Ile-de-France section.
- The “engagement terminal” of the DGSCGC stand, participating in a sequence with the General Inspectorate of Civil Security and the Ministry of Culture, on the theme of “the preservation of cultural heritage”.
- The Île-de-France section was at the Cluny Museum (see photos here, and the programme here).
- The Pygarmed section presented their work to visitors and the Mayor, developed jointly with the SDIS de France on the preservation of heritage, at the reopening of the old Vion barracks.
- The Pays de la Loire section were at the Angers Museum of Fine Arts.
- The Hauts-de-France section were at the historic mining center of Lewarde.
- The Auvergne Rhône Alpes section attended the Interprofessional Book Meetings in Lyon.
The development of new tools for awareness raising and teaching is a critical part of the work of the Blue Shield.
