70 Years of the Hague Convention and its importance in Germany

Blue Shield Germany celebrated the anniversary of the Hague Convention 1954 on Friday, 15 November 2024. A top-class cast attended a panel discussion as part of the ceremony “Cultural Heritage in Times of War and Crisis – 70 Years of the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in Armed Conflicts and its importance in Germany”. Ralph Tiesler, President of the Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance responsible for the implementation of the Hague Convention in Germany, together with Blue Shield Germany, the German UNESCO Commission and the German Society for the Protection of Cultural Property were invited to the Berlin Museum Island following the International Conference of the Security Guide for the Protection of Cultural Property (SiLK for short).
